Machined Metal Castings
Expert Investment Casting for Complex Designs and Precision Quality
Having been dedicating in steel casting foundry in oil & gas and industrial segments for three decades, Teamco has built up manufacturing resources in Taiwan and other Asian countries. At Teamco, we specialize in delivering high-quality investment casting solutions for a diverse range of industries ensure complex designs fulfills even the most demanding requirements. Our deep knowledge of investment casting allows us to optimize the tooling die design to handle complex geometries and high levels of precisions and tolerances. Teamco is ISO 9001:2015 certified and have vast experiences meeting international material standards such as ASTM, AISI, DIN and JIS.
Teamco specializes in manufacturing precision components using stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium alloys, and cobalt-based Stellite alloys for demanding industrial applications. With decades of expertise, we provide fully integrated OEM manufacturing services—including tooling design, casting, machining, heat treatment, surface finishing, and inspection—ensuring consistent quality, tight tolerances, and compliance with international standards. Our solutions serve industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fluid Control, Industrial, Automotive, Construction, Marine, and Mechanical Automation.
Here’s a breakdown of how it works:
1. Wax Pattern Creation: First, a wax model of the part is made. This model is an exact replica of the final product. Sometimes they’ll make multiple wax patterns and attach them to a central wax sprue, forming what's called a "tree" (think of it like a metal popsicle tree).
2. Ceramic Shell Building: The wax model is dipped in a ceramic slurry, then coated with fine sand or stucco. This process is repeated several times to build up a thick, strong shell around the wax. Then the shell runs through a drying process before removing the wax from the shell.
3. Wax Removal ("Lost Wax"): Once the ceramic shell hardens, it’s heated so the wax inside melts out and drains away—this leaves a hollow ceramic mold.
4. Metal Pouring: Molten metal (steel, aluminum, bronze, etc.) is poured into the ceramic mold.
5. Shell Removal: After the metal cools and solidifies, the ceramic shell is broken off, revealing the cast metal part inside.
6. Finishing Touches: The parts are cut off from the sprue, cleaned up, machined if necessary, and inspected.

Key features of investment casting includes:
• High precision and accuracy, ideal for intricate shapes and fine details.
• Excellent surface finish, reducing the need for further machining.
• Wide material compatibility, including steels, aluminums, bronze, and super alloys.
• Suitability for complex geometries, such as turbine blades, and aerospace parts. What are the advantages of investment casing?
• Advantages of Investment Casting
• The investment casting process offers the following advantages:
• Excellent dimensional accuracy even for complex components
• Smoother surface finish
• Works with a wide range of metals
• Parts are created as a single casting with no parting lines
• Compatible with low- and high-volume manufacturing
• Minimal wastage of resources
• Parts can be combined, eliminating the need for assembly operations downstream
• 90-degree angles can be cast without worrying about shrinkage allowance
• More environmentally friendly than other metal fabrication processes
