What Kind of Thread Types and Thread Sizes for Grease Fittings Teamco Provides?

1. Standard Grease Fittings with Vented Cap - Our standard grease fittings are in NPT thread. Thread sizes include 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4” and 1”. These are the most popular specifications in pressure class to 10,000psi of API standard. These grease fittings can be used in almost all Oil & Gas pipeline valves. We have two head types, the giant button head and full thread. Giant button head fits also the head coupler of grease gun hose and can connect with leak lock of the leak lock fitting to stop the leakage. The full thread type grease fitting is threaded with the vented cap with more threads. Customer can decide which type fits the required applications.

2. High Pressure Grease Fittings with Vented Cap - For applications which require higher pressure class up to 20,000psi, we have autoclave type which is in 1-1/8” UNF thread for the connecting end. Below image shows the difference:

What Materials Teamco Produces for Grease Fittings?

Main materials of our grease fittings are SS316 and AISI 4140 in Zinc Plating. These are popularly used materials for body, cap and spring support of grease fittings. The materials used for other two major components, the ball and the spring, are also compliant to industry requirements and international standards. Our balls are in Monel K500. This is a Ni-Cu precipitation hardening alloy features with high corrosion resistance and high hardness by adding Al and Ti. Our springs are in Inconel X-750. X-750 is a Ni-Cr precipitation hardening alloy with additions of Al and Ti. It has high strength at temperatures around 1300°F (700°C) and also has feature of good corrosion resistance.

Our grease fittings are widely used in Oil & Gas Valve Assembly, Pipeline Valves Repair and Maintenance, API 6A Wellhead Equipment/ Christmas Tree under 10,000psi and Sealing Devices of Offshore Oil Drilling Platform. Functions include grease injection and grease lubrication. Grease fittings can be used for the valve seat and the sealing part of the stem for ball valves through injecting grease to timely seal the leakage.
